The bottom one has that cozy rustic feel to it, but to be honest, all I can think is how can you possibly keep that wall clean?!

Etsy seller missquitecontrary sells her fine art photographs printed onto vintage dictionary pages. You can try your hand at doing this yourself — just be sure to use archival inks and find an old dictionary or encyclopedia with thick pages.
I think it would be really neat to take this idea and make it more personal. Perhaps a photo you took yourself printed on a newspaper article, favorite book page, something you wrote, etc.
